Botanical name: Angelica archangelica L.
Main biochemical components: Monoterpenes (73%) : alpha- and beta-pinenes (24 and 1,25%), limonene (13%). Esters aliph. and terp. (1,5-2%): bornyl acetate (0,75%), transverbenyl acetate (0,45%). Alcaloids terp. : nitromenthadienes. Coumarines (2%) : ombelliferone, archangelicine, angelicine, bergapten.

Contraindications: Not to be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women. External usage (the Angelica root essential oil is a photosensitizer).
