Geranium essential oil

Botanical name: Pelargonium Asperum

Cultivation: Conventional (100% pure, 100% natural)

Country of origin: Egypt

Main properties: antibacterial, hemostatic, antalgic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, cicatrizing, anti-cellulite, anti-wrinkles.

Indications:

Rubbing or massagingAcne: Geranium essential oil + Vetiver + Seville orange bigarade. 5 ml of each to dilute in 10 ml of rosehip vegetable oil. Apply a few drops of this lotion on the concerned areas morning and evening (after cleansing your skin). See Laurel for another recipe.

Rubbing or massagingAngioma: Geranium essential oil + Helichrysum + Cypress. 5 ml of each to mix in a bottle. Apply 2 drops of this blend on the concerned areas morning, noon and evening for 1 week.

Rubbing or massagingCellulite: 4 ml of Geranium essential oil + 4 ml of Rosemary essential oil + 4.5 ml of Lemongrass + 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage morning and evening. For a less concentrated oil, you can also mix the essential oils in equal parts and add 30 to 60 drops of this blend to 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Rubbing or massagingHair loss: 5 ml of Geranium essential oil + 5 ml of Mandarin + 2 ml of Ginger + 200 ml of a neutral shampoo (see our organic base and carrier oil products to prepare this composition). Massage the scalp every day. See Rosemary essential oil for another recipe.

Rubbing or massagingDermatosis: Geranium essential oil + Lavender essential oil. 1 drop of each to apply directly on the areas to be treated.

Rubbing or massagingFuruncle: Geranium essential oil + Orange + Niaouli + Lavender essential oil. 10 ml of each. Apply 1 to 2 drops on the concerned areas 3 to 4 times a day.

Rubbing or massagingGingivitis: Geranium essential oil + Cinnamon + Sage + Peppermint essential oil. 1 drop of each. Massage the sore areas with the tip of the finger after each meal.

Rubbing or massagingImpetigo: Geranium rosat + Tea tree essential oil. 1 drop of each to apply directly up to 3 times a day. Tea tree can be replaced by Clove.

Rubbing or massagingInsomnia: Myrtle + Geranium. 5 ml of each to dilute in 20 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus and the soles of the feet using a few drops of this blend every day before bedtime.

Rubbing or massagingMosquitoes (repellent): 10 ml of Geranium essential oil + 6 ml of Rosewood essential oil + 10 ml of Citronella grass + 4 ml of Clove essential oil + 100 ml of jojoba (or macadamia or apricot kernel) vegetable oil.

Rubbing or massagingSkin mycosis: 1.5 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1.5 ml of Tea tree essential oil + 1.5 ml of Lavandin + 100 ml of macadamia vegetable oil. Apply locally a few drops of this blend 3 times a day.

Rubbing or massagingEdema: Geranium essential oil + Juniper + Palmarosa + Cedar. 3 ml of each to dilute in 100 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the concerned areas morning and evening.

Rubbing or massagingGreasy skin: 60 drops of Geranium essential oil + 10 drops of Cistus + 100 ml of macadamia vegetable oil.

Rubbing or massagingDry skin: 1 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1 ml of Rosewood essential oil + 30 ml of rosehip vegetable oil. Apply twice a day.

Rubbing or massagingDry skin (2nd recipe): 0.2 ml of Geranium essential oil + 0.5 ml of Carrot + 0.2 ml of Ylang ylang. To dilute in 30 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply twice a day.

Rubbing or massagingInstect stings: Geranium essential oil + Lavender essential oil. 5 ml of each to mix in 100 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply on the area every hour if necessary.

Diffusing or inhalationInsect repellent: Geranium essential oil + Citronella grass (in equal parts in the diffuser). Put 2 drops of each on your pillow before bedtime to keep mosquitoes away.

Rubbing or massaging Insect repellent: 2 ml Geranium essential oil + 5 ml of Citronella grass + 100 ml of macadamia, or jojoba or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage the body's exposed areas.

ingestionHay fever: Geranium essential oil + German or Roman chamomile + Tarragon + Lavender essential oil. 5 ml of each. Absorb 3 drops a day for as long as exposed.

bathOverweight: Geranium essential oil + Cypress + Juniper + Cedar + Sage. 3 to 4 drops of each, to mix in a solvent then pour in the bath water. End the bath with a cold shower.

Rubbing or massagingBrown spots (age spots) : Geranium (1 ml) + Carrot (1 ml) + 5 ml of rosehip vegetable oil. Apply twice a day a few drops of this blend until improvement. Geranium can be replaced by Seville orange or Ylang ylang.

Rubbing or massagingBody tonic: 1.5 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1.5 ml of Rosemary essential oil + 1 ml of Ylang ylang + 80 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage morning and evening.

Rubbing or massagingTroubled sleep: 1 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1 ml of Seville orange bigarade + 2 ml of Lavender essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus and the soles of the feet before bedtime.

bathHives: Geranium essential oil + German or Roman chamomile + Lavender essential oil. 10 drops of each to dilute in a solvent before pouring into the bath water.

Rubbing or massagingStretch marks (after pregnancy): 2 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 2 ml of Mandarin + 80 ml of rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the concerned areas morning and evening.
