Botanical name: Inula graveolens

Chemotype: Monoterpenes (camphene), Sesquiterpenes (trans-beta-farnesene), Monoterpenols (borneol), Esters terp. (bornyle acetate), Lactones sesquiterpenes (low percentage but very active molecules).

Distilated part: Flowery grass

Culture: Certified organic by ECOCERT sas F-32600 L'Isle-Jourdain.

Country of origin: France

Properties in aromatherapy: Powerful mucolytic, anticatarrhal, expectorant, anti-cough, spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-infectious, immunostimmulant, heart tonic and regulator.

Indications:

MassageChronic bronchitis/ cystic fibrosis: Mix 1 ml of Inula essential oil + 1 ml de Myrtle (Myrtus communis L. cineoliferum) + 2 ml of Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) + 10 ml of Ravensara aromatica + 6 ml of Eucalyptus radiata + 40 ml of apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage 10 drops of this blend on the thorax 3 times a day.

MassageCongestive heart failure: 2 drops of each Inula essential oil and Ylang-Ylang to apply to the solar plexus, 1 to 2 times a day.

diffusionEmphysema: Inula essential oil + Ravensara (3 drops of each) + 2 drops of Moroccan chamomile essential oil.

MassageCoughing fit: Inula essential oil + Cypress. 2 drops of each to dilute with a little vegetable oil. Massage the thorax and the back.

MassageSkin ulcer: Vaporize the hydrolat of Inula and Laurel on the wound. Apply around the wound: 1 drop of the following essential oils Teatree, Lavender and Laurel. 3 times a day.

Contraindications: This essential oil is very powerful. Do not administer dosis higher than prescribed or elimination may prove problematic ("Inula shock"). Not to be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women
