Laurel essential oil
Botanical name: Laurus nobilis
Cultivation: Conventional (100% pure, 100% natural)
Country of origin: France
Main properties: anti-infectious, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antalgic, local anesthetic.
Indications:
Acne: 1.5 ml of Laurel essential oil + 2.5 ml of Tea tree essential oil + 2.5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Apply directly on the pimples. Laurel can be replaced by Patchouli. See Vetiver for another recipe.
Canker sore: 6 ml of Laurel essential oil + 3 ml of Clove essential oil + 2 ml of Tea tree essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia vegetable oil. Apply 2 drops of this lotion on the concerned areas up to 5 times a day.
Muscular cramp: 3 ml of Laurel essential oil + 5 ml of Tarragon + 5 ml of Wintergreen essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas 4 to 5 times a day if necessary.
Weak immune system: Laurel essential oil + Niaouli essential oil + Eucalyptus radiata essential oil + Oregano. Mix in a bottle 5 ml of each. Absorb 1 drop of this blend 3 times a day for 1 week.
Gastroenteritis: Laurel essential oil + Peppermint essential oil + Tarragon. 5 ml of each to dilute in 20 ml of macadamia (or jojoba or apricot kernel) vegetable oil. Massage the abdomen with a few drops of this blend 3 to 4 times a day until improvement.
Gingivitis: Laurel essential oil + Thyme essential oil. 5 ml of each to dilute in 10 ml of olive or macadamia vegetable oil. Apply locally a few drops of this blend up to 6 times a day if necessary.
Lumbago: Laurel essential oil + Wintergreen essential oil + Helichrysum essential oil + Peppermint essential oil. 2 ml of each in 100 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas up to 4 times a day.
Digestive mycosis: Laurel essential oil + Tea tree essential oil + Cinnamon. 2 ml of each to mix in a bottle. Absorb 2 drops of this blend 3 times a day for 20 days.
Whitlow: Laurel essential oil + Rosewood essential oil + Tea tree essential oil + Clove. Prepare un mix using 1 ml of each of these. Apply locally a few drops up to 4 times a day.
Rheumatism: Laurel essential oil + Wintergreen essential oil + Helichrysum. 3 ml of each to dilute in 100 ml of macadamia vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas up to 3 times a day.
Sciatic: Laurel essential oil + Wintergreen essential oil + Helichrysum essential oil + Tarragon. 2 ml of each to dilute in 50 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the concerned area up to 5 times a day for 10 days.
Stage fear: Laurel essential oil + Peppermint essential oil. 5 ml of each to mix in a bottle. Absorb 2 drops of this blend 1 hour before exams, speeches...
Parodontosis: Laurel essential oil + Clove essential oil + Tea tree essential oil. 2 ml of each to mix in a bottle. Massage the gums using 2 drops of this blend 3 times a day for 2 weeks.
Contraindications: Do not use pure essential oil on the skin (causes inflammation). Not to be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
