Botanical name: Lavandula angustifolia Mill. ssP. angustifolia (lavandula officinalis)
Cultivation: Conventional (100% pure, 100% natural)

Main properties: Analgesic, anti-depressant, antispasmodic, general antiseptic, diuretic, soothing, cicatrizing, vermifuge.
Indications:
Anxiety: 3 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of German chamomile essential oil or Roman chamomile essential oil + 1 ml of Orange essential oil. To dilute in 80 ml of apricot kernel or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus with a few drops of this blend before bedtime.
Abscess: Lavender essential oil + Clove essential oil + Tea tree essential oil. 1 drop of each, to apply locally (up to 3 times a day).
Acne: 2.5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1.5 ml of Laurel nobilis + 2.5 ml of Tea tree essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Apply directly to the pimples. Laurel can be replaced by Patchouli. See Vetiver for another recipe.
Arrhythmia: 10 ml of Lavender essential oil + 10 ml of Sweet marjoram + 5 ml of Ylang Ylang essential oil + 50 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus and the soles of the feet in the morning, at noon and in the evening for a week.
Burns: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 0.5 ml of Rosewood essential oil + 15 ml (= 1 large spoon) of Rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas 3 times a day until healing is complete.
Burns (second recipe): 0.5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 0.5 ml of carrot to dilute in 20 ml of macadamia vegetable oil. Apply 2 to 3 times a day on the concerned areas until improvement.
Heartburn: 3 ml of Lavender essential oil + 3 ml of Peppermint essential oil + 3 ml of Basil essential oil + 3 ml of Chamomile + 6 ml of Coriander + 6 ml of Sweet marjoram. Absorb 1 drop of this blend 2 to 3 times a day for 10 days.
Scars: Lavender essential oil + Helichrysum essential oil + Rosemary. 5 ml of each to mix in a bottle. Apply directly 2 or 3 drops of this blend on the scars up to 3 times a day for 2 weeks if necessary.
Colitis: Lavender essential oil + Cinnamon + Basil essential oil + Savory + Orange. 10 ml of each. Absorb 1 drop of this blend on a spoon of honey or a little soft bread 3 times a day (following meals).
Sunburn: 10 ml of Lavender essential oil + 10 ml of of Rosehip vegetable oil. Apply on the burned areas once every hour if necessary (see caring oils).
Cracked skin: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Carrot + 0.5 ml of Cistus. To dilute in 20 ml of jojoba, macadamia or chilean rosehip vegetable oil. Apply 2 to 3 times a day on the concerned areas.
Cracked skin (lips, breasts): 5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 3 ml of Helichrysum essential oil + 5 ml of Palmarosa essential oil + 30 ml of Rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the cracked areas mornings and evenings for a week. See Patchouli for another recipe.
Itching: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Chamomille or Roman Chamomile + 1 ml of Peppermint essential oil + 50 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply on the areas as many times as necessary.
Dermatosis: Lavender essential oil + Geranium. 1 drop of each to apply directly on the areas to be healed.
Eczema: Lavender essential oil + Thyme essential oil + Palmarosa. 1.5 ml of each to dilute in 20 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply this lotion twice a day directly on the areas to be healed.
Frostbite: 2 ml of Lavender essential oil + 10 ml of Helichrysum. To dilute in 15 ml of Rosehip vegetable oil. Apply a few drops of this blend directly on the areas morning and evening for 15 days.
Diaper rash: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 0.5 ml of Rosewood essential oil + 15 ml (= 1 large spoon) of rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas 3 times a day until healing is complete.
Loss of voice: 5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 5 ml of Cypress. To mix in a bottle. Absorb 2 drops of this blend on a spoon of honey, twice a day.
Psoriasis : Lavender essential oil + Bergamot essential oil + Tea tree + Rosemary essential oil. 12 drops of each in 100 ml of rosehip vegetable oil. Apply a few drops locally up to 2 times a day.
Furuncle: Lavender essential oil + Niaouli essential oil + Geranium essential oil + Orange. 10 ml of each. Apply 1 to 2 drops on the areas 3 to 4 times a day.
Lump: 5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 5 ml of Helichrysum essential oil + 15 ml (= 1 large spoon) of millepertuis vegetable oil. 1 application locally up to 5 times a day. Lavender can be replaced by Cypress.
Urinary tract infection: 4 drops of Lavender essential oil + 1 drop of Sandal. Absorb on a spoon of honey 3 times a day.
Insomnia: Lavender essential oil + Ledon essential oil + Mandarin + Ravensara. 2 ml of each to dilute in 10 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus, the soles of the feet with a few drops of this blend every day before bedtime.
Libido (weak): 8 drops of Lavender essential oil + 4 drops of Sandalwood essential oil + 4 drops of Ylang Ylang.To dilute in a solvent before adding to bath water.
Sore back: Lavender essential oil + Wintergreen essential oil + Chamomile. 3 ml of each to dilute in 100 ml of macadamia vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas several times a day if necessary.
Bad breath: Lavender essential oil + Peppermint essential oil + Thyme essential oil. 1 drop of each in a glass of warm water. 3 times a day after meals.
Migraine: Lavender essential oil + Wintergreen essential oil + Peppermint essential oil + Field mint + macadamia or jojoba or apricot kernel vegetable oil. 10 ml of each. Massage a few drops of this blend on the forehead and temples several times a day and as much as necessary.
Cutaneous mycosis: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Savory + 100 ml of Rosehip vegetable oil. Apply a few drops of this mix locally 3 times a day.
Otitis: 2 ml of Lavender essential oil + 6 ml of Savory + 10 ml of Oregano. Absorb 2 drops of this blend 3 times a day (during meals) for 1 week.
Otitis: Lavender essential oil + Eucalyptus essential oil + Niaouli. 1 ml of each to dilute in 80 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil (or apricot kernel). Massage arouind the ear 3 times a day.
Insect stings: Lavender essential oil + Geranium. 5 ml of each to mix in 100 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply on the stings every hour if necessary.
Toothpain: Lavender essential oil + Chamomile or Roman Chamomile + Clove. Mix in equal parts. Put 2 or 3 drops at the tip of the finger and massage the gums.
Head lice: 5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 5 ml of Tea tree essential oil + 1 ml of Clove essential oil + 1 ml of Ylang-Ylang + 250 ml of a neutral shampoo. Use this mix to rub the scalp every morning until all lice and nits have been removed.
Hay fever: Lavender essential oil + Geranium essential oil + Chamomille or Roman Chamomile + Tarragon. 5 ml of each. Absorb 3 drops per day while exposed.
Spasmophilia: Lavender essential oil + Orange essential oil + Ravensara essential oil + Tarragon. Mix 5 ml of each in a bottle. Absorb 1 drop of this mix 3 times a day for 3 weeks.
Spasmophilia: Lavender essential oil + Sweet marjoram. Massage the solar plexus with 2 drops of each 2 to 3 times a day.
Stress: 5 ml of Lavender essential oil + 5 ml of Seville orange essential oil + 10 ml of Rosemary. To mix in a bottle. Absorb 1 drop of this mix every morning and evening for 3 weeks.
Stress: Lavender and Lemongrass. Massage the solar plexus with 1 drop of each 3 times a day.
Hacking cough & tracheitis: 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Cypress + 1 ml of Ravensara essential oil + 60 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus, the thorax and the back every morning, noon and evening for a week.
Insomnia: 2 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Geranium essential oil + 1 ml of Seville orange essential oil + 100 ml of macadamia or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus and the soles of the feet in the evening and before bedtime.
Hives: Lavender essential oil + Geranium essential oil + Chamomile or Roman Chamomile. 10 drops of each to dilute in a solvent before adding to bath water.
Stretch marks (curative): 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 2 ml of Rosemary essential oil + 1 ml of Cajeput + 1 ml of Cistus essential oil + 30 ml of Rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the areas morning and evening for several days, until results become visible.
Stretch marks (preventive): 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 2 ml of Geranium essential oil + 2 ml of Mandarin + 80 ml of Rosehip vegetable oil. Massage the areas morning and evening from the 5th pregnancy month on.
Contraindications: Do not use pure essential oil on the skin (causes inflammation). Not to be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
