Roman chamomile essential oil

Botanical name: Anthemis Nobilis

Main properties: antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antalgic.

Indications:

Anxiety: 1 ml of Roman or German Chamomile + 1 ml of Orange + 3 ml of Lavender essential oil. To dilute in 80 ml of apricot kernel or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus with a few drops of this mix, before bedtime.

Hot flush: Roman Chamomile + Sage. 5 ml of each. Absorb 1 drop of this mix morning and evening on a spoon of honey or small piece of bread.

Heartburn: 3 ml of Roman Chamomile + 6 ml of Coriander + 3 ml of Basil + 3 ml of Peppermint essential oil + 6 ml of Sweet marjoram + 3 ml of Lavender essential oil. Absorb 1 drop of this mix 2 to 3 times per day for 10 days.

Emotional shock: 10 drops of Roman or German Chamomile to dilute in a teasponn of macadamia vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus.

Colic: 5 ml of Roman Chamomile + 2 ml of Tarragon + 20 ml of macadamia, jojoba or apricot kernel vegetable oil (for a baby double the quantity of vegetable oil). Massage the solar plexus with this mix 3 times per day.

Itching: 1 ml of Roman or German Chamomile + 1 ml of Lavender essential oil + 1 ml of Peppermint essential oil + 50 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Apply on the itching areas as many times as necessary.

Frigidity: 1 ml of Roman Chamomile + 2 ml of Ylang Ylang + 1 ml of Sage. To dilute in 10 ml of macadamia or jojoba vegetable oil. Massage the solar plexus 3 times per day for 2 weeks.

Insomnia: Roman or German chamomile + Vervain + Lemon balm + Swet Sweet marjoram + Orange. Blend 5 ml of each in a bottle. Absorb 1 drop of this mix in the evening (between 6 and 9) for 1 week.

Irritated skin: 1 drop of Roman Chamomile in your moisturizing cream jar.

Nausea: 0.5 ml of Roman or German Chamomile + 0.2 ml of Tarragon + 1 ml of Mandarin. Absorb 1 drop of this mix on a spoon of honey, up to 6 times per day (3 times for an infant).

Teething: Roman or German chamomile + Clove essential oil + Lavender essential oil. Mix in equal parts. Massage the sore areas with a few drops on tip of your finger.

Respiratory problems: 0.5 ml of Roman or German Chamomile + 50 ml of jojoba or apricot kernel vegetable oil. Massage the throat, the chest and the back morning and evening for 1 week.

Hay fever: Roman or German chamomile + Tarragon + Geranium essential oil + Lavender essential oil. 5 ml of each. Absorb 3 drops per day for as many days as exposed.

Nape: 0.5 ml of Roman or German Chamomile + 1 ml of Ravensara + 0.5 ml of Eucalyptus globulus + 25 ml of Millepertuis vegetable oil. Massage the sore areas with a few drops of this blend.

Hives: Roman or German chamomile + Geranium essential oil + Lavender essential oil. 10 drops of each to dilute in a solvent before adding to your bath water.

Contraindications: Do not use pure essential oil on the skin (causes inflammation). Not to be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
