White Clay (Kaolin Clay)

Description

White clay or Kaolin is a soft mineral composed of hydrated aluminum silicate. It is sun-dried, non-ionized and preservative-free, preserving all its natural properties. Thanks to its remineralizing properties, it is suitable for all skin types, especially mature, fragile, reactive and sluggish skin. White clay soothes the skin and restores its freshness and radiance.

Uses

White clay can be used in a variety of ways for skin and hair care:

• Revitalizing beauty mask: Apply a thin layer all over the face. Leave on for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Don't forget to moisturize with a beauty cream or oil.
• Hair mask (for dry, devitalized hair): Apply the clay paste to the scalp and leave on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with clear water. Follow with a mild shampoo.
• Talcum powder for babies and athletes: Use as a powder after washing to soothe and dry sensitive areas.
• In the bath: Add white clay to water to soothe dry or irritated skin.

White clay works in perfect synergy with hydrosols and essential oils. You can personalize your masks by adding 1-2 drops of essential oils adapted to your skin or hair type.

How do I prepare a white clay mask?

Pour one to three tablespoons of clay powder into a bowl, then add a little hydrolat, herbal tea or spring water until you obtain a firm paste. To enhance the effect of your mask, you can leave the paste to rest for an hour before use, ideally under the sun. Avoid using metal utensils during preparation, as this may alter the properties of the clay.

Storage

Store clay in a cool, dry place, away from moisture. Close the jar tightly after each use.
