Esterwax

Presentation

Esterwax is a natural cosmetic ingredient of plant origin, made up of waxy esters. It is approved by Ecocert for the manufacture of natural cosmetics and is ideal for modulating the structure of skincare and make-up products. Esterwax improves the texture, shine and stability of emulsions, while providing a soft feel and easier application.

• Melting point: 57-62°C

Cosmetic properties / actions

• Structure modifier: Improves consistency of cosmetic products.
• Emulsion stabilizer: Enhances formulation stability.
• Suspending agent: Helps keep particles suspended in the formulation.
• Adds shine: Adds a glossy finish to make-up products.
• Improves application and penetration: Facilitates product application to the skin.
• Soft-touch agent: Provides a pleasant feel to the touch.
• Thickening agent : Increases product viscosity.

Use

Dosage: 4% to 12%, to be added to the fatty phase before heating (60-75°C).

Esterwax is particularly suitable for formulating cosmetic products such as :

• Tinted creams
• Blushes, eyeshadows
• Deodorant sticks

Storage

Store Esterwax away from light, at room temperature, in a cool (15-25°C), dry place. Use within 12 months of opening.

Precautions for use

• Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling.
