Chamomile and Calendula Soothing Cream

Description

This cream for problem and/or irritated skin is rich in moisturizing and soothing active ingredients.

Main active ingredients

  • Organic nigella vegetable oil: anti-inflammatory, regenerating and soothing.
  • Calendula macerate: powerful anti-inflammatory, healing, revitalizing and softening.
  • Aloe vera gel: stimulates cell renewal and promotes skin repair, while being an excellent moisturizer.
  • Chamomile hydrolate: soothes redness, calms allergic reactions, purifies, tones, regenerates and rebalances the skin.
  • Allantoin: softens and soothes the skin.
  • Geranium bourbon essential oil: anti-inflammatory, healing and regenerating.

Ingredients for 50 g of cream

  • Phase 1

    • 14.5 g mineral water
    • 17 g organic Roman chamomile hydrolate
    • 5 g organic aloe vera gel
    • 1 g vegetable glycerin
  • Phase 2

    • 2.5 g Xyliance emulsifier
    • 3 g organic black cumin oil
    • 6 g organic calendula oily macerate
  • Phase 3

    • 0.25 g allantoin
  • Phase 4

    • 12 drops geranium bourbon essential oil (organic)
    • 16 drops Geogard
    • 4 drops vitamin E

Preparation

  1. Phase 1: Weigh the mineral water, chamomile hydrosol, aloe vera gel and glycerine in a beaker. Mix well with a spatula to solubilize the aloe vera.
  2. Phase 2: In a separate beaker, weigh out the emulsifier, black cumin oil and calendula macerate. Mix well.
  3. Heat the two beakers separately in a bain-marie to around 75°C. Make sure both phases are at the same temperature (this is very important for the cream to work properly).
  4. Remove the beakers from the water bath. Pour phase 1 into phase 2 while mixing with an emulsifying mixer. Stir for 2 minutes, the mixture will whiten and thicken.
  5. Pour the mixture into a stainless steel bowl and continue whisking.
  6. Place the bowl in a bain-marie of cold water to cool the cream while continuing to whisk.
  7. Add phase 3 ingredients (allantoin) and mix.
  8. Add phase 4 ingredients (geranium essential oil, Geogard, vitamin E) one by one, mixing carefully between each addition.
  9. Check that pH is between 5 and 7 using pH strips.
  10. Package your cream.
