Ingredients for 50 g moisturizing mousse

Phase 1

  • 36 g mineral water
  • 5 g organic verbena hydrosol
  • 1 g vegetable glycerin

Phase 2

  • 2.5 g BTMS emulsifier
  • 2.5 g organic coconut vegetable oil
  • 2.5 g organic apricot kernel oil

Phase 3

  • 4 drops vitamin E
  • 20 drops Geogard preservative
  • 5 drops organic lemon verbena essential oil
  • 17 drops organic sweet orange essential oil

Preparation

  1. Prepare phase 1: In a beaker, weigh out the mineral water, add the verbena hydrosol and vegetable glycerin. Mix with a spatula.

  2. Prepare phase 2: In another beaker, weigh out the BTMS emulsifier, coconut oil and apricot kernel oil.

  3. Heating: Place both beakers (phases 1 and 2) in a water bath and heat to approx. 75°C. Make sure both phases reach the same temperature.

  4. Emulsification: Remove both beakers from the water bath. Slowly pour phase 1 (aqueous) into phase 2 (oily), stirring with a frother for at least 2 minutes, until a homogeneous white texture is obtained.

  5. Cooling: Transfer preparation to a stainless steel bowl and continue mixing. Place the bowl in a bain-marie of cold water to cool and set the foamy texture.

  6. Add phase 3: Add phase 3 ingredients one by one, mixing well between each addition.

  7. PH adjustment: Check that pH is between 5 and 7 using pH test strips.

  8. Packaging: Transfer the foam into a clean, sterilized container.

Directions for use

Apply to the body after showering for light hydration and an invigorating scent of verbena and orange.

Final appearance: White foam with orange and verbena fragrance.
