Toning Shower Gel
Description
This homemade shower gel recipe combines effectiveness and gentleness thanks to Ecocert foaming agents: Sodium Coco and Vegetable Foam. Lemongrass essential oil, with its fresh, lemony fragrance, brings toning properties to the silhouette, transforming your shower routine into a revitalizing moment.
Ingredientsfor 100 g of gel
Phase 1:
- 72 g Mineral Water
- 11 g Sodium Coco
Phase 2:
- 15 g Vegetable Foam
- 20 drops Lemongrass flexuosus essential oil (organic)
Phase 3:
- Approx. 0.7 g fine salt
Phase 4:
- 32 drops of Geogard
Phase 5:
- 0.2 g Citric acid
Preparation
-
Phase 1 :
In a beaker, weigh out the ingredients for phase 1 and heat in a bain-marie to 40°C. Mix until the Sodium Coco grains have dissolved, then remove from the bain-marie and leave to cool. -
Phase 2:
In a separate beaker, weigh and mix the ingredients for phase 2. -
Mixing:
Add phase 2 to phase 1 and mix with an emulsifying mixer. -
Phase 3:
Add the salt to thicken the mixture, but do not add more than 0.7 g to prevent the mixture from becoming runny. Mix well with an emulsifying mixer. -
Phase 4:
Add Geogard and mix well. -
PH control:
Measure pH with a pH strip, which should be basic (around 11). To avoid irritation, add a very small amount of citric acid and mix with an emulsifying mixer until dissolved. Check that the pH is between 5 and 7. -
Rest:
Allow product to rest for 1-2 hours to eliminate bubbles, then pack.
Appearance
- Texture: Transparent liquid
- Odor: Fresh and lemony
Shelf life
1 month. Do not store below 10°C, as Sodium Coco solidifies in a cool place.
Directions for use
Take a dab of foam and apply to wet body. Avoid the eye contour area and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
