Properties

Uses

Ideal for deep skin purification, Montmorillonite clay is perfect for :

• Cataplasms: soothe muscular tension and promote relaxation after intense physical exertion.
• Skin and hair masks: Ideal for regulating excess sebum and purifying the skin, it is also beneficial for oily hair.
• Mud baths: Helps eliminate toxins and promote relaxation.

To make a paste from this clay, add hydrosol, spring water or herbal tea until a firm paste is obtained. Apply to skin or hair and leave on for 5-30 minutes, depending on skin sensitivity. Do not leave on sensitive skin for more than 5 to 10 minutes.

Reinforce the action by leaving the paste to rest for an hour, ideally under the sun, to optimize its benefits.

Tip: You can personalize your mask by adding 1-2 drops of essential oils suited to your skin or hair type.

Precautions

Avoid putting clay in contact with oxidizable metal utensils, as this will alter its properties. Use wooden, glass or ceramic utensils instead.

Storage

Store clay in a cool, dry place, away from moisture. Close the jar tightly after each use.
