Dosage and instructions

In the washing machine

  1. Fill a small cotton bag with 5 to 10 walnut shells.
  2. Close the bag and place it in the washing machine drum.
  3. Depending on the temperature of the detergent (30°C to 90°C), you can reuse the nuts up to 3 times.

In the dishwasher

Place 4 walnut halves in the cutlery basket of your dishwasher for environmentally-friendly cleaning.

Making a Decoction

To make a liquid soap or cleaner, boil walnut shells in water. Let cool and use the water for cleaning or washing.

Storage

Store soap nuts in a dry place, away from moisture. Once exposed to moisture, they may stick, but remain effective.

Soap nuts come from the Sapindus Mukorossis tree, cultivated mainly in Himalayan regions. This tree, which can reach 15 meters in height, bears fruit only after 10 years of cultivation. The nuts are harvested, dried and then packaged to preserve their effectiveness.
