Characteristics of dry skin
Dry skin feels rough, tight and loses its elasticity. It often has a scaly appearance, sometimes called "crocodile skin". This type of skin can itch, peel and, in extreme cases, crack. Very dry skin can even crack, causing painful fissures that can bleed.
What to do about dry skin
Dry skin lacks both lipids and water. To treat it effectively, it's essential to reconstitute the hydrolipidic film, the skin's fine protective layer that ensures its suppleness and elasticity. This involves restoring the lipid and water phases of this film.
Use gentle products to cleanse dry skin. Apply moisturizing balms and creams morning and night to reinforce the epidermal barrier and maintain water balance. After a shower or bath, don't hesitate to apply a moisturizing milk to deeply nourish the body.
