HOME COSMETICS RECIPE CARD

Orange Blossom Moisturizing Body Milk

Description

A moisturizing and soothing body lotion with the delicious scent of Orange Blossom and Orange. This citrus-scented body lotion is easy to make. It softens and protects the skin against daily aggressions (cold, sun, dryness...). Skin is left hydrated and radiant! Let yourself be carried away by its citrus notes. Orange Blossom hydrolate is invigorating and refreshing, while Jojoba oils and Hydranol nourish and protect the skin. Coco Silicone provides a dry feel and helps the milk penetrate the epidermis, while Orange essential oil provides fragrance and aromatic benefits.

Ingredients (for a 100 mL bottle):
Phase 1:

  • 67.5 g mineral water
  • 10 g organic Orange Blossom Hydrolat
  • 2 g vegetable glycerin

Phase 2:

  • 3 g BTMS Emulsifier
  • 9 g organic Calendula - Oily macerate
  • 5 g Plant Hydranol

Phase 3:

  • 10 drops Vitamin E
  • 2 g Coco Silicone
  • 20 drops Orange essential oil (organic)
  • 32 drops Geogard

Preparation:

  1. Weigh the ingredients of phases 1 and 2 in two separate beakers.
  2. Heat both beakers in a bain-marie to around 70°C.
  3. When both phases have reached the same temperature, remove from the water bath. Slowly pour phase 1 (aqueous) into the beaker containing phase 2 (fatty) while mixing with the emulsifying beater.
  4. Stir for 2 minutes until the mixture whitens and becomes more viscous.
  5. Pour the mixture into a bowl and continue stirring with a hand whisk.
  6. Place the bowl in a bain-marie of cold water to cool and thicken the milk, while stirring.
  7. Add phase 3 ingredients one at a time, mixing well between each addition with the whisk.
  8. Check that the pH is between 5 and 7 using the pH strips. If the pH is above 7, add citric acid in small doses.
  9. Package your body lotion in the bottle.
