Fresh Mint Toothpaste

Description

Make your own 100% natural toothpaste with this simple, effective recipe. This toothpaste combines ingredients carefully selected for their effectiveness: calcium carbonate for its abrasive properties, white clay for its protective mineral salts, sodium bicarbonate to whiten enamel, and vegetable glycerine for its ability to bind and moisturize. Peppermint essential oil adds a refreshing touch and anti-infectious properties.

Ingredients for 100 g toothpaste

  • 50 g calcium carbonate
  • 8 g White Clay
  • 4 g Sodium bicarbonate
  • 38 g Vegetable glycerine
  • 12 g organic peppermint essential oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the clay, calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate powders in a container.
  2. Add the vegetable glycerine and mix well with a spatula until smooth.
  3. Add peppermint essential oil and mix again.
  4. Adjust the texture of your toothpaste by adding more or less glycerine according to your preference (more glycerine will make the paste thinner).
  5. Fill your toothpaste into a measuring bottle and prime the pump.

Appearance

  • Color: Thick, grayish-white paste
  • Odor: Mentholated

Shelf life

  • Shelf life: 1 month

Directions for use

This toothpaste contains clay and calcium carbonate, which are abrasive agents. As a result, it may not be suitable for sensitive gums and fragile enamel. Use sparingly, no more than 3 times a week, and be sure to spit out after brushing.
