How can you treat cavities naturally and effectively, without going to the dentist? Quite simply, by using the powerful properties of essential oils to both disinfect and heal teeth.
Cavities, an infection requiring urgent treatment
Tooth decay is caused by a proliferation of bacteria in the vicinity of the tooth. This increase in aggressive, foreign elements unbalances the dental flora and causes tooth tissue to deteriorate. While cavities can, of course, be prevented through good oral hygiene, there are other reasons for their appearance. The genetic and hereditary factor must be taken into account, as we are not all equal in the face of nature.
But other external factors, dependent on our lifestyle, are also at the root of cavities. These include alcohol, diet (especially sugary foods), smoking and stress. To prevent or cure cavities, we need to be aware of the reasons why they occur. The diversity of these origins can be treated and covered by another: that of essential oils, whose effectiveness is no longer in doubt.
Essential oils, formidable weapons against cavities
Against cavities, essential oils may seem like natural elixirs, and therefore not very effective. Yet their powerful active ingredients, concentrated in a small amount of liquid, make them essential allies in oral hygiene. To treat a cavity, simply prepare the following in an empty bottle:
- Clove essential oil (45 drops)
- Noble Laurel essential oil (45 drops)
- Black Pepper essential oil (45 drops)
- Macadamia vegetable oil (40 drops)
Once this synergy has been achieved, simply apply 5 to 6 drops to the upper back and chest, 6 times a day, for 3 days. But how effective are these oils, and what are their real virtues?
Cloves contain eugenol, a very powerful phenol whose anti-infectious action is highly effective against the proliferation of cavity-causing bacteria. More than 80% of clove essential oil contains this component, which attacks the bacterial cell membrane directly.
Laurel oil also contains eugenol and methyl eugenol. Although less present than in clove essential oil, these two active elements, thanks to their analgesic and antineuralgic properties, greatly reduce the pain associated with cavities. What's more, 1,8-cineole, which makes up around 40% of Noble Laurel essential oil, improves the immune system, enabling the body to defend itself more effectively against bacteria, thus helping to restore a healthy balance to the oral flora.
Black Pepper acts in a similar way thanks to its odontalgic virtue, being specifically effective for dental pain. By strongly reducing the secretion of the molecules responsible for the sensation of pain (prostaglandins), thanks to beta caryophyllene, black pepper essential oil is an excellent anti-inflammatory.
Finally, Macadamia vegetable oil has anti-microbial effects and enhances the synergy of the blend, as well as improving its taste, since its flavor is similar to that of walnuts. Macadamia oil makes the mixture much easier to swallow, especially for children. Healing cavities is quick and easy with essential oils. Everyone can use it, and it's not only effective, it's also natural and particularly economical, saving you a visit to the dentist!
