Coenzyme Q10 Solution
Description
Coenzyme Q10 powder is too concentrated to be used directly in cosmetic recipes. Here's how to dilute it to obtain a basic solution enabling you to integrate this active ingredient into your home cosmetics (creams, milks, oily mixtures) while guaranteeing good distribution and efficacy. This water-insoluble solution mixes easily with oily preparations. Squalane, used as a base, ensures optimum penetration of the active ingredients, while Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, preserving the stability of the solution and reinforcing the protective effects of Coenzyme Q10 on the skin.
Ingredients for the solution
- 0.3 g Coenzyme Q10 (powder)
- 20 g Squalane
- 5 drops Vitamin E
Preparation
- In a beaker, weigh out 0.3 g Coenzyme Q10 powder and 10 g Squalane. Mix with a mixer until the Coenzyme Q10 powder is well solubilized in the Squalane.
- Then add the rest of the Squalane and continue mixing to ensure a homogeneous solution.
- Check that the Coenzyme Q10 powder is completely dissolved and that there are no grains.
- Add the Vitamin E and mix again to ensure thorough incorporation.
Storage
This solution should be stored at room temperature, away from heat and cold, in an airtight bottle.
Directions for use
Use 1 to 3% of this solution in your final cosmetic product (cream, milk, oil). Before use, shake the solution to ensure proper dispersion of Coenzyme Q10.
